Braskey Adjustable Pitch Roof Prop
The Braskey Adjustable Pitch Roof Prop is a versatile moveable steel roof prop designed for quick reset with an 8’x8’ cut area and overall 9’x12’ deck. The steel frame and exterior surfaces are designed for years of dependable service with very little maintenance and quick clean-up. This prop quickly adjusts from 10/12 to flat. It includes safety chain rails on all 4 sides. The adjustable prop is designed to sit on the ground, mount on a trailer, or attach to a conex. When on a trailer or conex students can practice transitions from ground ladder to roof ladder under steepening pitches. This quality product is sure to enhance any training facility.
Design: Rectangular 1/8” (11 ga) steel frame with heavy expanded metal deck. The frame includes 8’ long 4”x4” square tubing rails and a 4” center balance pivot. An adjustable pinned link allows pitches to be adjusted to the end user’s needs. The deck includes a 2’ walkway on each side and a 14’ walk across the bottom.
Regular maintenance is minimal and would include greasing center pivots and touch-up painting areas showing excessive wear.

Braskey Steep Pitch Vent Prop
Here is one of our custom-designed vent props. This particular prop is designed to be more than a place to run a saw.
Specs & dimensions 16’ long, 8’ high at the ridge, 10’ wide. 12/12 pitch main roof, 6/12 creates a valley, 8’x8’ & 4’x8’ cut area, vent identification.
This particular prop includes the following features:
- Skids for portability around the training field
- Drop-in 2×6 rafters with a 4’x8’ and 8’x8’ cut area.
- No steel in ridge area, allowing ridge saw work without blade/ chain damage
- 6/12 valley for walking
- “Turtle” & ridge vents for identifying
- Roof ladder(s) can be used on the long side for ladder (& Milwaukee) cuts
- An aerial bucket can be used to access and attack the prop
- Attic, vault, & knee wall were added for visual training aides & identification
- Can accept additional bolt-on roof props including low pitch & flat roof to create an entire ventilation training system
Braskey Walkable Pitch Vent Prop

The Braskey Walkable Pitch Roof Prop is designed to allow a durable, quick reset, moveable, ventilation prop. This prop is designed on skids to allow it to be moved around. The prop accepts 4’x8′ sheets over 2x6x 4′ drop in rafters. The steel frame is designed to be decked and covered with shingles around the cut area. This prop includes chain safety rails. This prop is designed to fit above a container as well. This allows for laddering and roof transitions as well as ventilation cuts.
